Huntsville State Park | Camping in Texas

With its close proximity to Houston (just north about an hour up I-45/I-75), Huntsville State Park is an easy to reach state park that offers camping, hiking, fishing, paddling, geocaching and just plain relaxing all in the shade of the beautiful East Texas forest. This state park is located just outside of the Sam Houston National Forest and is a great place to spend a day, a weekend or a week out in nature.

In this video, we show you around Huntsville State Park and introduce you to our new friends, Bruce and Judy, who have been volunteering here at Huntsville State Park as park hosts for the past 3 years. They share their experiences as park hosts with us as well as how you can get involved if you are interested in park hosting, volunteering or donating to Texas State Parks.
